Family

As this year is steadily coming to an end, i've been thinking a lot about life and love and yes, even death.  My granny has been on my mind everyday since she died in Aug 2008.  I always think about the good times i had growing up with her and how i learned a lot from her.  I always will remember her favorite sayings and will always keep them fresh in my mind.
Coming up, I plan on taking a road trip to my mom's house in Virginia and  hopefully, will get out to my grandmother's grave.  And to be honest, i don't have to worry where i'm going to be buried at since my grandmother had thought way ahead of our time by purchasing four burial plots.  So i guess you can see she and i will rest together in eternity.
I'm just getting so excited about going on a vacation out of New Orleans and why the hell not?  I deserve it.  This  year has been very trying and has been nothing but a series of tests thus far.  So, let's get ready for Aug!

IRK me some more

I swear i can not wait to get out of the apartment and into a house.  I'm tried of living in a bubble so to speak.  Been here 6 years this month.  I'm well on my way because i've taken 3 huge items off of my credit report and have been saving money so it's all good.  But back to my title.........................

The damn dryer in the back was broken and the guy came out and ordered the parts for  it.  Low and behold, some ass hole ended up using the dryer and made it worse.  So now, the guy had to order other parts.  I do a lot around the apartments and one of the main things that still really ticks me off is the fact that no one really helps bring out the garbage cans.  And when mine is out on the curb, of course a lazy ass is gonna dump their trash in it.

Then you have to share wall space with neighbors on all sides and its really disturbing.  You can hear all kinds of things.

But.......i'm ready and looking at houses and i can not wait to get out of here.  Time is on my side....so take that!

Count down has begun!

There is a change in the weather.  I  don't know if anyone has noticed.   With all the rain and the heat, a change is coming.  The change i'm talking about is HALLOWEEN.  Although we're nearing the end of July and still have  August and September to get through, Halloween is running through my blood and in my body.  Halloween  has always been this magical time for me ever since i was little.  When i was in second and third grade living in Virginia, my grandmother's house would be decorated with the pumpkin and bat cut outs.  We would even trick or treat on the 30th instead of the 31st.
All sorts of ideas are popping in and out of my head on how to decorate the house this year for  Halloween.
Stay tuned.......

New Beginnings

Ok, here's the story.  I was working quite happily on Magazine and now i have been shifted down to the Carrolloton area.  Not bad, but i feel weird.  Both stores have an amazing crew, but yet they're both different.  I must say, working for Walgreens as a manager can be stressing at times.  You're expected to just pick up and move to another store as if it means nothing to you.  My first day at the new store, nothing would go right.  This already had set my nerves into over drive.  But, by the 3rd day, everything was normal.  Gotten into the swing of the operations of the new store and all is good.  I'm the type of person who has never liked change.  But i'm adapting really well and we'll really see how it goes when the store manager comes back from vacation.  Peace be with you all!

Dallas Fever

Ok, I'm so excited right about now.  With TNT bringing back the tv show DALLAS, this proves that the good doesn't die young.   On April 2, 1978 (the same day i was born) CBS introduced us to the world of the Ewing Family.  Sure, they were like any other American family; with the fighting, backstabbing, cheatings, and even death, but they survived on tv for 13 seasons.  Headed up by the powerful Jock Ewing and his wife Miss Ellie.  They lived at Southfork Ranch along with their eldest son JR Ewing and his wife Sue Ellen and their son John Ross; Their youngest boy Bobby Ewing and his wife Pamela and their son Christopher.  For a short period of time, their niece Lucy lived at the mansion too.
Flash forward a couple of years and you will see many changes.  Jock Ewing died in a helicopter crash and Miss Ellie has died and given ownership of Southfork Ranch to Bobby Ewing.  Sue Ellen Ewing has gotten married and been living in Europe along with Lucy.  John Ross and Christopher Ewing have been brought up just like JR and Bobby and Pam, well, she's not been seen since her explosive exit from the tv series in May 1987.  Is she dead or is she alive?  I believe she is alive and one day will come back to Bobby and Christopher.
And now with JR, Bobby, and Sue Ellen back at Southfork, things are looking up again.  I can't for this series to premiere in the summer of 2012.  Wish it would be now lol.  But i'll practice that old adage, all good things come to those who wait!

Supernatural News part1

In this day and age, we are walking a tight rope between the living and the dead.  A lot of us, take this for granted.  The dead are willing to communicate with us, but it us, that choose to ignore these signs for the most  part.  I'm a firm believer in the supernatural realm.  New Orleans is teaming with all things supernatural.  Look up anything from the Axe Man of New Orleans to the LaLaurie Mansion on Royal Street.  For me, I'm interested in starting a Ghost Hunting group and trying to come up with ways on how to do it while working a demanding full time job.
I must say my curiosity started from a young age and has exploded full force on this present age.  I know a lot of people will just laugh and call it Hocus  Pocus, but unlike the movie, you can't put spell a on me; lol.  But seriously, a lot of Supernatural Stuff is always happening in the this truly haunted city.
